Wayfinder
is an innovative guidance and information system, developed for use in large
complexes, such as office blocks, hospitals, universities, parks, etc. It is
both easy to use and to implement.
Wayfinder uses reliable touchscreen technology to help visitors
find the best route to their destination, and provide them with advice and useful
information.
The system consists of a touchscreen monitor, housed within a kiosk, on which
the Wayfinder software runs. Kiosks are placed at strategic
locations, such as a lobby or entrance hall, helping to supplement (or possibly
replace) conventional information/reception desks.
The
system is easy to use, as there are no keyboards or other controls to worry
about. The software is intuitive, visitors simply select the appropriate on
screen button(s) to find the location, person or the service that they need.
It is as straightforward as a bank ATM.
Where appropriate, language selection buttons are provided so that information
can be presented to suit individual visitors.
The software has been developed using standard Microsoft Office software, and
requires no additional database or software licences to run. This approach helps
in keeping the cost of developing and maintaining the system low.
Wayfinder is a fully maintained service, which does not require
you to have any in house expertise. Seaward Safety will make updates to your
dynamic data, such as names, telephone numbers, routes, etc., on the receipt
of a secure e-mail request.
Alternatively,
you can opt to maintain the system yourself, with Seaward Safety offering on
line and telephone support.
Seaward offers a complete service that extends from initial discussions, through
production, implementation and support of the system.
The system is available in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
